  • I have a best friend who drew the short straw in life, he was born in a girls body, has severe depression and anxiety, schizophrenia and D.I.D. But that doesn't change the fact that he is a wonderful person and an amazing friend. It is such a shame he has both auditory and visual hallucinations. I watch these videos so i can educate myself on how to best help him.

to anyone else out there with a friend or partner or family member how is also suffering from any of these issues my heart goes out to you.

  • It's true, I hear voice and it took my mom and doctor's to tell me it's all in the mind

  • Ghibli reference 😀

  • I'm not sure if I have it or not. I'm not going to self diagnose myself, but I do seem to have a lot of the symptoms of Schizophrenia and which some of those symptoms cause disruptions for me which can either be annoying, or serious, or just chaotic in general. Now IF I even have it I wouldnt say that it's serious but idk

  • ash

    RIP Steez

  • Sci-show?

  • He should rap

  • Perhaps a description of my schizophrenia is there is a perfect view of a landscape when we are born that is completely pure and open for as far as the eye can see but things people say and do and have said and have done and problems are like objects that disrupt and ruin this view in my mind.

  • The dancer Vaslav Nijinsky  ( 1889 – 1950 ) had schizophrenia.

  • How can symptoms of schizophrenia, BPD and PTSD be similar? Can you have feelings of being ripped from reality with PTSD?

  • i think there might a schizophrenic billionaire president somewhere

  • i think they're trying to frame me with a green bar i accidentally picked up in south park, coz they're more powerful then Oxford and Cambridge University?

  • "your zones out while driving home when the next thing you know your at tacobell thinking when did i get here??" theres many levels of me that both loves and understands this. So much wonderful learning laughs.

  • it was funny they did brain scans on Nuns and found many have Schizophrenia like brain activity compared to a normal person

  • My cousin was diagnosed with schizophrenia when he was 20 and now he is 25. He is an extremely intelligent individual. He used to be really nice, talkative, outgoing and seemed like a normal kid on the surface. Now he is anything but that…. His schizophrenia has become so severe that he cannot even work. He's on permanent disability with the government and currently takes an astonishing amount of medications to help him cope with his symptoms. It's sad to see such a demoralizing regression in someone who I used to be close with. I hope someday he'll be able to return to who he used to be.

  • This is a fantastic series of videos! Very helpful

  • 1. Can't diagnose yourself. WebMD or any other online website and even medical books can't help you. They can educate readers. Only licensed physicians, psychiatrists, and psychologists can diagnose anyone with any thing.
    2. One can 'claim' they have it but until legally diagnosed……they don't have it. Should something happen and one is not, then it's bad for them. No legal or medical backing.
    3. Insurance companies only pay for diagnoses with corresponding treatment and procedure codes. Even then payment is according to individual plan.
    4. There are people who fake having this and other mental disorders for attention. It's not 'cute' nor is it 'cool'.
    5. It doesn't matter if a person subjectively 'thinks' they have this or others, until diagnosed or certain criteria is met and recorded/observed by a licensed doctor or the like then going around telling people they are is idiotic.

  • Is it possible you can reference your studies? I am doing a research paper on schizophrenia and it would be useful lol

  • Interesting…but it sounds like a reason to make people take medicine…if proof of a mental illness lies in the brain's functions, i will accept that explaination…otherwise, it seems like a copout…a way to take away responsibility…

  • Who else is here to find out what DID stands for because of atlas ' s song/ wrap???

  • Schizophrenia is usually co occurring with other personality disorders. NPD is a delusional pathology which shares dissociative symptoms.
Schizophrenia is a chemical dysfunction, mental health is really difficult to pinpoint, a psychopath also has four times higher dopamine arousals, will express the classic Jeckyll & Hyde persona, technically a psychopath is sane ! . Sanity is a such a grey area …..

  • Can you do an aspergers crashcourse

  • A friend of mine took his own life the other night, i got home from his funeral 4 hours ago, he suffered from schizophrenia. I was romantic with a girl for a while who also had schizophrenia, I was also best friends with her brother who suffered from it as well. My cousin rj has it. Its a very frightening concept.

  • I'm glad that dissociative disorders especially DID. My psychiatrist recently diagnosed me with DID & I'm using things such as this video to help educate my family & friends about it. As for the series in general I find it very very helpful as an aspiring psychologist!

  • 0:37 THANK YOU! people always say its the same :V

  • My father had this disorder 😢😢😢

  • What about depersonalisation and derealisation?

  • sad

  • There is the diametric theory of the brain with recent studies have created this theory that autism and schizophrenia are polar opposites

  • where's the osdd tho

  • What is the best way to I have change the way my man treats me? I read a lot of great reviews on the net about how exactly Troplusfix Dating Secrets can assist you saving your marriage. Has any one tried this popular relationship course?

  • Actually, the angry voice phenomenon is cultural. Americans get it a lot. Sufferers from other cultures often hear neutral or positive voices, such as the voice of a beloved dead relative.

  • Here is my question, how do you get help without losing human rights?

  • Thank you for clarifying thr vast difference between schizophrenia and DID

  • i make stories but not hearing voices. am i crazy?

  • I'm in 10th grade, My best friend was diagnosed with schizophrenia at a young age, I remember in 5th grade we were at a friends house (we weren't close back then but we had a mutual best friend) and she would walk up and down the street at night as if she were in a trance just walking aimlessly when other friend told me she could see "spirits". I didn't see her again until we were in highschool bc she moved districts then moved back. We reunited and after a while became best friends. I had never heard her talk ab her schizophrenia up until a few weeks ago. She didn't say much except she used to see and hear ppl and she took medicine for it. But we were in 5th grade. Like that's v young and recently told me her doctor had just diagnosed her with manic depression(I'm not a doctor but I could have told her that).

  • Hello there, have you considered Troplusfix Dating Secrets yet? Just do a search engine search. On there you will discover an awesome tips about how you can influence your man to treat you better. Why not give it a shot? maybe it is going to work for you too.

  • "See but what if what we tell them isnt real… is real?" What I once said when I was addicted to psychdelics

  • What do you do if you become the target of a Schizofrenic's paranoia? I lived in a house with one and she was convinced I was "using black magic to control her" I never even interacted with her, kept to myself because of my own anxiety and issues, but became the target of an unnerving obsession.

  • This my question for people who suffer from schizophrenia, do you have any memories as a child experiencing auditory hallucinations or sometimes even short meaningless visual hallucinations before you were diagnosed?

  • As someone diagnosed with DID this is very amazing to see. Thank you.

  • I dont like this guy.

  • Fight club

  • Love the pop culture references : D

  • …What that Taylor and Kanye?
