About Community First For Integrated Development

Community First For Integrated Development (CFID) is a non-government organization (NGO) that works on issues of community development and policy advocacy. It was established in 1997 registered under the voluntary Social Welfare Agency (Registration and control) ordinance 1961(XI, VI of 1961) 1961. CFID is established by a group of young, energetic, and professional people who are highly motivated and committed to contributing their time, skills, and energies for the development and empowerment of socially disadvantaged and vulnerable communities in Pakistan and addressing serious issues such as violent extremism, radicalization, and gender-based discriminations.

They have been experiencing practically & technically on various fields of capacity buildings of humanitarian sectors and community development projects as they have had special training (TOTs) to the sectors of peace (building, making and keeping), humanitarian interventions, Human rights, child protection, and capacity building programs.

CFID is an organization that designs and implements various developmental projects with the financial and technical support of national, international donor agencies and the government of Pakistan.

Currently (2019), the organization appointed Dr. Malik Hammad Ahmad, as CEO.  The CEO is a Ph.D. doctor from the University of Warwick on History of Peace, Conflict Resolution, and Nonviolent resistance, as the major themes of research. He has seventeen years of professional experience, working in international development sectors for the national government of Pakistan in Spain, UK, and Pakistan.  He has presented many research papers at various international platforms; received and conducted training from NATO, UN, and EU. The Board directors of CFID are very positive to see the organization flourishing under his administration.
