Inner world changing : Dissociative Identity Disorder Forum

We talked with Pixie about this in the other thread, the one that was actually about the new TV-series about Jane and DID. I didn’t wanna go more off-topic in there, so that is why I made this new thread.

Watching MultiplicityAndMe from YouTube, and it is in their newest video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9K925zWwcXc in the beginning somewhere, that they used to have very detailed inner world too, but now that they are getting better, it is not as detailed anymore. They used to escape a lot inside, which is what I have done for all my life, and that created the inner world to be so detailed. Now that it is not used as much, it is fading some how.

I realize it is in a way a good thing. That was a goal to go to therapy and have outside life. It’s just that I wouldn’t want to lose what is familiar to me. Parts coming out and inner world getting hard to get inside is me getting better. But it is happening so fast I don’ know if I want it. I want to keep both worlds, but I do realize it is not possible, there is only certain amount of hours in a day, and I can use them only one way at the time. And I don’t wanna go back to the times, when I was inside all the time, also when I tried to do something outside, because it was much more alienating than the way we have things now.

I do sense, what is going on with our own system, but it makes it more true to hear it has happened to someone else too. I was thinking mostly about Pixie with the writing, but if anyone else has gone thru the same thing before or is having it now, we’d want to hear how it was for you guys.
