  • STUDY BUDDY! Just so y'all know Lizzie only did good on the GRE because of me! We spent so much time in the library studying senior year!

  • that's the scariest part! asking for letters of recommendation !

  • Hi, could you please do a video on study tips and what methods worked for you. Thank you!

  • yes more videos about keeping your grades up and preparing your application πŸ™‚ looking forward to more videos

  • This video was really helpful! I was wondering if you could provide the name or link to where you did the online hotline volunteering and the GRE info? Thank you!

  • I currently go to HU right now and am in my sophomore year this really gave me some comfort pertaining to my future planning. I don't think I got to really enthrall myself this year but this shows me the importance of keeping all eyes open. Can you do a video on how you got into research and lab experiences . Should I be looking in school or outside of? Im literally so happy to have come across this !!!

  • Can you link the links please?

  • For the GRE, is it just a Psych subject test or is it like a general knowledge test? Because I've been looking for books that say GRE on them but I don't know if there are different types. If it's just for Psych are Stats skills also measured?

  • What school did you get into? It sounds like you got accepted into a program directly out of your bachelors? That's awesome! How many programs did you apply to? I have heard a lot of inconsistency in how many to apply to.

  • Yes, please make a video on how you maintained a high GPA! πŸ™‚

  • What are the tools/resources you used to prepare yourself for the GRE?

  • I wish I lived there πŸ™‡πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ here you MUST have a master's to apply to any graduate program, no matter what you want to study πŸ™„

  • This video was so helpful!! I am a 2nd year undergrad, with plans to go to grad school for clinical psych and I am so glad I found your videos!!

  • I have a question about recommendation letters, should they all be from psych professors?? or can like one of them be from another college?

  • Hi Lizzie, this is so helpful! question: would you consider working as a CNA in a memory care unitΒ (persons with Alzheimers and dementia) in a nursing home count as clinical experience? thanks!

  • Thank you for sharing!!!

  • Thanks so much for this video! I'm going to be applying to clinical psychology phds in the fall, it was really helpful! I was wondering if you could do a video about life in grad school, what it's like? Thanks!

  • Let me tell you as a social worker I understand the concept to wanting to go to a clinical psychology program. But honestly, I think masters level program in particular a social work program is just as good. With social work you can practice as a Licensed clinical social worker, and be right there with the psychologist doing basically everything they do. The program is shorter and you won't have to ow almost 100,000 dollars more in student loans. Plus the program usually will allow a person with a 3.0 to get in, and after you are done your MSW you just have to take a LSW license exam then work two years then apply for a LCSW license. Still shorter than a clinical psych program.

  • i love your personality & thanks for this, it was so concise and helpful πŸ™‚

  • Please continue to make videos!!!!! I am going to need these videos!

  • I researched programs that are way easier to get into. There are programs out there that will accept students with less 3.0 and up and are quite affordable. You don't all have to go to a school that turns away everyone.

  • Thanks for the video, +LizzieJeaan!! My question: I graduated college with a 3.24 GPA but I started as an Aerospace Engineer and that's why my GPA is so low. In major I think I got a 3.7/3.8 and I've been working for NASA Johnson Space Center for the last four years now. I haven't taken the GRE but I'm applying to Oxford University and I don't see that the GRE is required there. Do you think a lower GPA mixed with having a pretty good job and excellent LORs would possibly set me on par with other applicants??

  • Do you have any recommendations for people in high school specifically juniors to kind of jump start a career in psych or look good for getting into college

  • Thank you so much this helped a lot.

  • Ash

    thank you!!!

  • Hi. My name is Naje and I want to become a clinical psychologist, but I wanted to get a PsyD. Do you think that all your tips will apply to me?

  • Any suggestions for anyone who didn't get their Bachelors in Psychology but want to get a Masters in Counseling Psychology?

  • Hi there! I was wondering if you had any advice for someone coming in from an MSW background who was curious about the idea of pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology. (i.e) strong clinical skills, not much in the way of research). I know it's kind of a tough question, but what do you see as the pros and cons ? Is it even worth considering ?

    Thanks for the video πŸ™‚

  • hi, thank you for all the informations in the video. you have a great personality. i was wondering how did you choose what research you wanted to do and when should undergrad students know what they want to write their dissertation on?

  • how come you dont need a masters?

  • S A

such an informative vid and you're funny as hell lmao thanks for posting this

  • I have ADHD so it's impossible to study so I'll need a friend to help me ahhh I'll probably learn about ADHD in abnormal psychology though so that's fun

  • Do programs look at your overall GPA or your major GPA?

  • Very informative! Thanks!!

  • i'm a college freshman and i'm entering my college year with psych credit already(got a 4 on the ap exam) but im wondering whether the psych degree is really for me. what convinced u that it was absolutely something u wanted to pursue?

  • that is what i am going to school for first

  • applying to grad programs soon and the application process seems so intimidating>< thanks for all the detailed info!
