Attitude toward Islam Scale Urdu

Also known as Mazhabi Rujhan ka Paimana

The SahinFrancis Scale of Attitude toward Islam (Sahin & Francis, 2002) is a 23-item self-report measure that was developed to map the correlates, antecedents, and consequences of individual differences in attitude toward Islam. The scale was developed as part of a research initiative designed to experiment with translating the concepts underpinning the 24-item Francis Scale of Attitude toward Christianity (Francis & Stubbs,1987) into the context of other world faiths (see Francis,2009), resulting in the development of the KatzFrancis Scale of Attitude toward Judaism (Francis & Katz, 2007), the SantoshFrancis Scale of Attitude toward Hinduism (Francis, Santosh, Robbins, & Vij,2008), and the AstleyFrancis Scale of Attitude towards Theistic Faith (Astley, Francis, & Robbins, 2012).

The SahinFrancis Scale of Attitude toward Islam (Sahin & Francis, 2002) has been revised periodically as part of an ongoing initiative that has sought to refine the scale for use when measuring attitude to Islam within different cultural contexts. Of particular concern in such work has been the six negatively worded items.
