Adverse Reaction to use of word “Trauma”

So i’ve been going to therapy as much as I can allow/etc, and wanted to ask if anybody else has ever experienced weird responses like I did to words like ‘trauma’? It really threw us, esp me, and I felt very severe panic (less popular in a group therapy setting) and I don’t know how to respond, really. It’s not outside the bounds of possibility but our memory as a system is localised to certain people, and while I have some things I’m still not sure why reaction was so adverse. Haven’t gotten over it over the last few days and wondered if anybody else had the same experience/could advise? Cheers. Jen.
